You can customize the bar at the top of your Office 2013 applications by selecting a background and theme. It’s quick and easy. Here’s how:
- Click File in the top left corner (this should work in any application…Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.).
- Click Account (or Office Account if you’re in Outlook).
- Under Office Background, you can select from a menu of choices to customize the top bar in your applications. I chose Doodle Circles (see example below).
- Under Office Theme, you can select white, light gray or dark gray. The default is white, but that was too bright for me so I switched to dark gray.
